On Saturday, the Ole Miss and Tennessee football teams are scheduled to meet for the first time since 2014.

Each school possesses a Manning brother as a quarterback alumnus with Peyton Manning playing for Tennessee and Eli Manning at Ole Miss.

Peyton and Eli Manning debuted an alternate broadcast for "Monday Night Football" NFL games on ESPN2 earlier this season, and fans wanted the Manning brothers to do a similar broadcast for Saturday's Ole Miss vs. Tennessee game.

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin even asked ESPN to make it happen.

Eli Manning said in a tweet, "I can’t believe Peyt wimped out on calling the Ole Miss/Tenn game next week. He scared!!"

The broadcasters Saturday night on SEC Network are scheduled to be Tom Hart (play-by-play), Jordan Rodgers (analyst), and Cole Cubelic (sideline).

Rece Davis, David Pollack disappointment at no Mannings on Ole Miss, Tennessee football broadcast

ESPN broadcasters Rece Davis and David Pollack discussed the Ole Miss vs. Tennessee football game on "The ESPN College Football Podcast" on Tuesday, and the conversation started with the lack of Mannings broadcasting the game.

"The biggest disappointment in that is that Peyton and Eli aren't doing their show during that game," Davis said.

"That would be fun," Pollack said. "Why not? We can make that happen."

"I don't know," Davis said. "That's like above ..."

"It's on SEC Network," Pollack said. "Let's do it!"

"I know it's above your pay grade," Davis said to Pollack.

Pollack responded, "It's way above. It's probably below their pay grade."

They both laughed at Pollack's response.

"It would be amazing," Davis said to wrap up the discussion of the Mannings.
